All hands on deck

    1.    Comprehensive Pre-Construction Planning & Permitting

    •    Finalize all architectural and engineering plans, ensuring every detail aligns with the client’s vision and local regulations.

    •    Submit and track all necessary permit applications with municipal authorities, proactively addressing any questions or requests for additional documentation.

    •    Organize a pre-construction meeting with the client, project manager, and lead trades to review the final scope, timeline, and site logistics.

    2.    Meticulous Site Preparation & Protection

    •    Set up secure fencing, signage, and access controls to maintain safety and privacy.

    •    Install dust barriers, floor coverings, and protective wraps on fixtures and landscaping to prevent damage.

    •    Relocate or shield valuables and sensitive areas as needed, with photographic documentation for reference.

    3.    Clear, Ongoing Communication With Homeowners

    •    Provide clients with a detailed construction schedule outlining daily and weekly activities, key milestones, and anticipated completion dates.

    •    Assign a dedicated project manager as the main point of contact, available for questions, updates, and site visits.

    •    Send regular progress reports (with photos or videos), highlighting completed work, next steps, and any issues encountered.

    4.    Deployment of Skilled, Licensed Tradespeople

    •    Carefully select and schedule experienced, licensed, and insured professionals for each phase—framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishing, and more.

    •    Conduct on-site orientation for all trades to review plans, safety protocols, and quality expectations.

    •    Monitor and verify that all work complies with local building codes, industry standards, and your company’s high standards.

    5.    Quality Material Sourcing, Verification & Handling

    •    Order all materials from reputable suppliers, confirming specifications, lead times, and warranties.

    •    Inspect deliveries upon arrival for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and store materials in climate-appropriate, secure areas on site.

    •    Use eco-friendly, energy-efficient products wherever possible, as agreed upon during planning.

    6.    Efficient, Proactive Project Management

    •    Utilize advanced project management software to track tasks, deadlines, budgets, and communications in real time.

    •    Hold daily or weekly team huddles to review progress, coordinate trades, and address challenges or bottlenecks.

    •    Keep a detailed site log of all activities, inspections, deliveries, and incidents for accountability and transparency.

    7.    Strict On-Site Safety & Cleanliness Protocols

    •    Enforce mandatory PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety training for all workers and visitors.

    •    Implement daily site cleaning routines, debris removal, and proper waste disposal to maintain a tidy, hazard-free environment.

    •    Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to reinforce best practices and regulatory compliance.

    8.    Regular, Documented Progress Inspections

    •    Schedule inspections at critical stages (e.g., foundation, framing, rough-ins, insulation, pre-drywall, finishing) with both internal quality control and municipal inspectors.

    •    Document all findings with photos, notes, and checklists, addressing any deficiencies or punch-list items immediately.

    •    Invite clients to attend key inspections for added transparency and involvement.

    9.    Transparent Change Order & Issue Resolution Process

    •    If unforeseen conditions or client-requested changes arise, promptly provide a written change order detailing the scope, cost, and impact on schedule.

    •    Review all change orders with the client for approval before proceeding, maintaining clear records for future reference.

    •    Resolve issues collaboratively, offering solutions that balance quality, budget, and timeline.

    10.    Client Walkthroughs, Feedback, and Pre-Completion Review

    •    Schedule walkthroughs at major milestones, inviting clients to review progress, verify finishes, and provide input on any concerns.

    •    Address all feedback promptly and document agreed-upon adjustments.

    •    Conduct a comprehensive pre-completion walkthrough to identify and resolve any remaining touch-ups or deficiencies before final delivery.
